Trying to help

Someone asked for a resource to increase their general gun knowledge and I originally thought about the Box o Truth, and how much I learned about the difference in power between handguns, rifles, shotguns seeing locks shot, seeing ballistic glass shot, seeing body armor shot,etc. Just general gun info.

I come here and the first thing that I see is suggestions for me. How are you making good suggestions being that I haven't been on this page for years and haven't signed up yet?

Wouldn't it be better to plop someone down on the list of forums? Or have a button on the bottom that brought you there? I eventually found the button to bring me to the forums list on the upper right, but for a first time visitor, it's not very intuitive.

After looking at the list of suggestions, the first thing I did to try and find the original articles was hit the 3 dot menu. Nope, not there. That's where I found Forum Listings. Honestly, the term Listings threw me off at first, it made me think of sales. I actually found my way to the list of forums through the button two to the left. I'd suggest retitling the listing on the 3-dot-menu as Forums not Forum Lists.

Okay, so now I am in forums. Where might these original chapters be? Where might the Educational Zone be? Where might the Buick of Truth be?

Articles? To me a Forum of articles would be where you discuss articles, but I'll give it a try.

Oh Boy! right at the top is #31 Books of Truth! and I follow the link, and it's both the original article and discussion. But where are the rest? They seem scattered around based on last comment. Isn't there some sort of list?

Eventually I stumble upon the Site Map, and that leads me to Site Map where there's a list of all the original chapters!

I'M THINKING I'LL JUST GIVE THEM THIS LINK RIGHT TO THE SITE MAP SO THEY DON'T HAVE TO SPEND TIME LOOKING AROUND FOR THIS STUFF..... BUT NONE OF THE LINKS WORK!

And please realize, with this I am trying to be helpful to both you and them.

So I suggest making the following changes

#1 right next to the Box O Truth Logo on the leftmost, I suggest putting a link to the Original Chapters, Educational, C&R

#2 in the 3 dot menu, either have "Articles" or have Original Chapter, Educational, C&R

#3 fix the links so they work

As it stands, I can't recommend this place as a source of info. I was going to tell the person to work through the original chapters in order, unless something really caught their eye on the list, but I can't because there's no functional list of articles.
