In Part 2 we will start with the MkG DRB-2 .45 ACP system.
This is a blow-back design for the .45 ACP round. It has a very nice finish and a special receiver to allow the use of Glock magazines.
It has a large bolt face for the .45 ACP, and has a round cam pin and a tapered bolt carrier. It locks open when the last round is fired.
Next is the new Maxim 50, a black powder rifle with a built on silencer.
The silencer is built on to the barrel and makes this the only silencer equipped rifle that you can buy without a BATF Tax Stamp. It can even be mail ordered.
It weighs 7.5 pounds and is a break-open system that can use 409 shot shell primers.
Ruger had some new pistol caliber rifles that look interesting. They are the Ruger PC Carbines and are take-down systems for allowing easier storage.
The sights are mounted forward on the barrel so that when taken apart and reassembled, they will hold zero.
The carbines have changeable inserts to allow use of either Ruger mags or Glock mags. MSRP is $649.
Ruger also has a new Ruger Security 9 pistol.
This pistol is on 9mm, and holds 15 rounds. It has a 5.5 pound trigger. You can see that it has a manual safety in addition to the trigger safety.
It looks like a nice carry piece. They have an MSRP of $379 but it seems that street price is closer to $275, making it a very affordable package.
ATI has a MP-40 pistol in 9mm.
It is a pistol with no butt stock. MSRP is $649.
Brownell’s has some new/old rifles called the Brownell’s Retro Series.
The BRN-10A is in .308. It is an Armalite clone with an MSRP of $1,600.
They also have a retro 5.56 model with an MSRP of around $1,200.
There are several different models of retro rifles.
Of course no SHOT Show visit would be complete without meeting some celebrities. Matt got to meet Gabby Franco who was on the show “Top Shot”. A very nice lady and a great shot.
Palmetto State Armory has a new MP5-K pistol.
The pistol has a built-on arm brace. The price is said to be very competitive.
Next is a new and interesting Bond Bullpup 9 pistol. It holds 7 + 1 rounds of 9MM.
Notice the magazine.
The rounds are loaded nose first, and they are stripped out of the mag backwards. This allows the Bullpup system to be so short. It has a 3.35 inch barrel and is only 5 inches long.
It is double action only and only weighs 17 ounces.
Well, that’s a lot of pictures and we only scratched the surface of all that they saw at the show.
If you ever get a chance to attend, it is a great place to visit.
Hope you enjoyed the post.
