Default Sizing/Lee molds

Was looking for a couple of bullet molds at the gun show this last weekend. I've read & been told that Lee's new microband molds don't require sizing. A Lee dealer we talked to claimed that no Lee molds require sizing, anybody else ever hear of this? It would sure be nice, but I just don't see it.

That's what their ads say, but I have no first hand experience. All I've ever cast were for muzzleloaders.

Try one of these places.

If they say that the molds do not require sizing, that can only mean that they are casting bullets to exact finished size, i.e., a .45 ACP would be cast at exactly .452.

But this also means that if they are that close, they may be undersized, and that would cause problems.

I size and lube my bullets at the same time, so there would be no advantage to me.

I used their TL358-158-SWC mold for years loading for NRA Action Pistol and it shot very well just yumbled in a coffee can with the liquid alox lube. These cast at .358 very consistantly and in fact would produce 2 1/2" groups at 50 yards with ease. However when I went to a mover dot I wanted a faster load and switched over to a 125 JHP but I still shoot the micro band bullet for practice.

As you can see I do a little reloading...lol

Wow. That's a heck of a setup. Very nice.

Well...that's my man cave...lol...there are a couple more presses out of sight to the right as well as a work bench with my jeweler's lathe, Foreman setup, drill press, etc. I load for quite a few calibers as well...everything from 38spl up through 450 Alaskan.

Nice setup, put's mine all to shame. I've seen some pretty nice setups but that's one of the most extensive. Even my wife is impressed.
