This is where the frangible round entered the last sheet of drywall.

It was coming apart, it seems.

I decided to fire one more round of XM-193 into the box.

It blew up the water jug, but this time, it did not penetrate all the way through the first pine board.

It did not touch the bricks. Here's the entrance to the pine board.

You can see a piece of the jacket and the hole above, where the main part of the bullet fragment entered (but didn't exit) the board.

I felt I owed it to you shot gunners to try the old faithful 12 gauge and 00 Buck.

The 00 Buck busted up the water jug , penetrated the pine board, and busted a brick.

These are the results.

Lessons learned:
1. I realize that it is a subjective thing, but you should have been there to see the difference if the explosive results on the jug when shot with a handgun round or a rifle round.
There is no comparison.

2. XM-193 was "inconsistent", in that once it had enough power after the jug to shatter the brick, and the next time, didn't even exit the pine board.

3. Frangible rounds (at least the ones I tried) seemed to fragment as expected. But there may be a question about "enough" penetration. It never exited the water jug.

4. I have brick exterior on my home. I do not have to worry about any round exiting my home. The brick stopped all rounds tested.

5. All rounds tested had plenty of power, after 4 drywall boards (2 walls) to work as expected on the jug of water.
Drywall walls are concealment, not cover.
